Spring Forward Write Backwards

The bebe arrived on January 24th, hence my total lack of new posts. Our water birth took place in my parents home as planned. The whole experience was life-altering, difficult and utterly beautiful. I can not imagine ever giving birth in a hospital again, no way would I ever voluntarily go back there! Bebe is beautiful. He weighed in at 7lbs and has steadily gained since then despite having had the flu at 3 weeks of age! Breastfeeding is going well and I am pleasantly surprised to write that the challenge of raising two children under the age of two is simply that, a challenge and not an impossible feat. I take one day at a time and spend the majority of my down time cleaning, organizing and planning so that the house can run smoothly.

I am currently working on a few projects to streamline our household. My husband and I have never been ones for hanging on to material thing but now that we have children the possessions seem to be adding up at an alarming rate. The BIG MOVE will be taking place in a few short months and I have all ready begun to unload the majority of our unnecessary possessions.
The other big goal is all about the kitchen. I have been baking our bread for over two years now and wanted to branch out in other ways. This led me to the Healthy Habits Co-op, which I help host. Every other Friday we are blessed with about 35 lbs of organic produce and the quality is so superb it lasts the full two weeks! We also joined a raw dairy co-op which allows us access to raw dairy and grass fed beef, chicken and pork. My trips to the grocery store were cut in half! The we began the Bulk Food co-op which provides grains, nuts, beans, etc. Reasons to go to the grocery store: almost zero.
I am hoping that once the boys are a bit older I can really delve into buying bulk and living more of a "farm-style life." More on two children and goals later...
